I live to put your products in the best light possible!
Since the turn of the millennium, I’ve dedicated myself to my passion for photography – honing a dynamic style much sought-after by clients. Specialising in still life, product and commercial photography, I bring to my work a precise eye, broad technical knowledge and in-depth understanding of products: skills that can be traced back to my early career in electronics and repair, across aeronautical and automotive industries.
I was born in the 60’s, and as a child I was already obsessed with technique and developing technical skills: I rebuilt a step at age four, and was fitting moped engines to my BMX by age 11. A technical education led me to electrical work at Fokker aircraft factory, before training and working for over a decade as a panel beater and manager until 1999.
Then came a turning point. During a long trip to Australia, I bought an analogue Canon EOS 610 camera and started shooting. After a couple of years of soul-searching, my portfolio of photos from that trip, and a further half-year course, got me into the Foto Academie (Photo Academy) in Amsterdam. I soon became an assistant at one of the best photography studios in the city, Studio 13 Amsterdam, and after a short time I was running the whole studio as a floor manager. The contacts and knowledge I picked up there led to so much work that I quickly opened my own studio.
